What is the easiest way to convert 220V to 110V outlet? I am replacing electric range with gas cooktop.? Pub-9178256715886550

I get gas to run into my kitchen to install a gas stove / oven. The current range is electric, and therefore the only outlet behind it is a 220v. Can I get a converter or an adapter, or do I need an electrician to come out?

Dean method, stupid and illegal. If the plug has a neutral wire, the conversion is fairly simple. You can use the existing cable, but you need to change the circuit breaker 20A to 1p. cap used hot wire in the panel and in the outlet box. use a blanking plate for closing the space used in the breaker panel. If you not a neutral wire, then you need to re-label a son hot as neutral. identify the wire in the box and wrapped with white ribbon. then in the panel, to identify the thread and pass it to the neutral bar. you can use pigtails to connect son 12 ga to new recepticle because will be very difficult to reach 6 ga son properly. If you do not know what I mean by any instructions here, then you are on your head and you need to call a professional.
