anyone know how to rewire an alarm clock so that it activates a light sensor?

I bought a Sony Dream Machine Alarm Clock (black), and I just had this crazy idea: what if I could wire up the clock so that turns on a mini light on my desk whenever alarms? Is it possible to do? For those of you who are fans of electronic if you could send me a site that shows how to do many projects and other electronic devices, it would be great!

It should be very easy, simply connect a small light bulb in parallel with the speaker. You may need to measure the voltage on the loudspeaker when it buzzes and use a bulb with the same nominal voltage. If you wish, add a switch to activate / deactivate the loudspeaker as well.
